Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioning Recycling

This is a New Service which will enable you to simply and effectively send your End of Life (EOL) Air Conditioning units to an Environment Agency (EA) appointed Approved Authorised Treatment Facility (AATF) for recycling.


  • The units will be 99.1% recycled, meaning that almost ZERO will go to landfill; and reports will be prepared and submitted to the EA and you, if required.
     
  • And the cost? FREE at point of use except in specific circumstances; such as Timed, non-standard Working Day, and Rooftop installations where cranes are necessary or Specialised Vehicles required.   • Place the EOL Units INTACT* on the pallets that brought your new Units safely, ensuring you don't over stack them (1.8m is high enough) - remember there is NO CHARGE.
     
  • Then you book your collection through the
    Book Collection
    tab on this website.
     
  • The booking process is simple: you fill in your details on the left hand column, the site details on the right hand column, tick the boxes and/or state any additional special requirements, agree the Terms & Conditions and click the submit button - easy!
     
  • At this point the Hazardous Waste Consignment Note, or HWCN (required by law) is generated, together with the requisite number of pallet labels and a carrier's consignment note. You will receive a notification of your booking by email almost immediately and, if there are any supplementary charges to be paid, you will be asked to call our office to settle them prior to your collection date.
     
  • After this the carrier will contact you to confirm the collection date and approximate time; and if there are any access issues to determine which type of vehicle is required to effect the collection.
     
  • Overton Recycling will then TAKE CARE of everything for you.
     
  • We will leave a copy of the HWCN with the site for your records to prove to the Environment Agency you have dealt with your waste in a fully compliant manner.
     
  • In addition you will be able to view the documents on line, using the links given in your confirmation email.
     
  • One last thing! Ensure the
    INTACT
    *     product is placed on pallets at street level otherwise it's impossible to load them onto the vehicle!
     
* Intact means that the units must not be stripped of any parts - if parts are removed from the units this can be classed as processing and the Environment Agency may investigate.
In addition, back charges will be levied on you for the costs involved in collection.
